Linda Zacchilli

A graduate of North Adams State College, Linda Zacchilli began her teaching and coaching career in the Milford, MA school system.  She retired from teaching in 2009, but continues to coach at Milford High School.  “To be able to have a positive influence on future athletes is much too tempting to pass up if you have a love for athletics and all it has to offer in terms of life lessons.”

Linda has coached tennis at Dean Jr. College, and basketball and volleyball at Milford H. S.  She was a founding member of the MA State Girls Volleyball Coaches’ Association and served as president for 4 years and secretary for another 4 years.  She has been the varsity volleyball coach at Milford for 27 years earning recognition from the Boston Globe as Coach of the Year, receiving the District MVC award, and was named an inaugural inductee into the MA Girls Volleyball Hall of Fame in 1999.

“Over the past years, the most satisfying statistic is the fact that 28 of my players have given back to their sport by serving as junior high school, high school or college coaches.  The fact that high school sports made enough of an impact on these players to guide them back to the sports arena is very satisfying.”
