Profile ~ Maureen "Moe" McNally, Maine - 2001

 

At the present time, Maureen is a school counselor and athletic administrator at Gardiner Area High School in Gardiner, Maine.  She has taught at Gardiner for 23 years and during those years, she coached field hockey (23 years) softball (5 years), and basketball.  Maureen is the co-founder of the Maine Field Hockey Association and currently serves as president.

Her professional associations include: the Maine Field Hockey Association, the Maine Teachers Association, and the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference.

Maureen’s teams have a 251-93-14 record.  She is the current head varsity coach for field hockey at Gardiner Area High School.  Her field hockey teams were state champions in 1987, the Eastern Maine champions three times, and the Kennebec League champions three times.  They have had 22 straight appearances in Class A Field Hockey Tournaments.

In recognition of her outstanding accomplishments, Maureen has twice been recognized as the Maine Field Hockey Coach of the Year and the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Field Hockey Coach of the Year two times.
