Kelly McGowan, Massachusetts – 2012

At Bentley College, Kelly McGowan coached Field Hockey for 13 years, from 1995 to 2008. She served on the Division II NCAA Field Hockey Committee for 4 years (2005-2008). In 1998 she founded the women’s lacrosse program as a club for one year and launched the varsity program at Division II level in 1999. She coached the team through 2002.

Kelly was named Coach of the Year for the Northeast-10 Conference 4 times. In 2001 she was the Coach of the Year for the Conference and NCAA Division II Coach of the Year when Bentley was the NCAA Division II National Champions in field hockey. Kelly is also a member of the Canton (MA) High School Hall of Fame, inducted in 2004.

In 2000, Kelly became co-owner and head coach of Extreme Field Hockey, a developmental program for players aged 5 to 18 years old. Activities include league play, skills sessions, and team trips to national competitions.
